For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) Posts:
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university in the relevant subject(s)
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an NCTE-recognized institution affiliated to a recognized university
• CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or OSSTET (Odisha State School Examination Test) qualification
• Minimum 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree (subject to relaxation for reserved categories)
Age Limit:
• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 65 years (as on 01.04.2026)
• Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government norms
For PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) Posts:
Educational Qualifications:
• Master's Degree from a recognized university in the relevant subject
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an NCTE-recognized institution
• CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or OSSTET (Odisha State School Examination Test) qualification
• Minimum 45% marks in Master's Degree (subject to relaxation for reserved categories)
Age Limit:
• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 65 years (as on 01.04.2026)
• Relaxation available for reserved categories
Special Relaxation Provisions:
In cases where suitable candidates with B.Ed. qualifications are not available for hard/very hard station postings, the following relaxation may be considered:
• PGT posts: Post-graduates with 60% marks in Science subjects or 55% marks in Humanities subjects (without B.Ed.)
• TGT posts: Bachelor's degree holders with 60% marks in Science or 55% marks in Humanities (without B.Ed.)
• Candidates without CTET/OSSTET may be considered if otherwise eligible
Mandatory Requirements:
• No proceeding pending against the candidate at any level
• No conviction by any court of law
• Not a member of any political party
• Valid identity proof (Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport)
• PAN Card (Permanent Account Number)
• Proof of retirement from service (for retired candidates)

The selection of contractual teachers will be conducted by a district-level selection committee to ensure fair and transparent evaluation of all eligible applications.
