Step 1: Online Application Submission
Candidates must apply through the official SSB website (www.ssbodisha.ac.in)
between 11th March and 13th April 2026. Applications must include personal details,
educational qualifications, category selection, preferences for posts/institutions,
passport-size photograph, signature, and thumb impression (all digitally uploaded).
Step 2: Application Fee Payment
Non-refundable application fee must be deposited online via SB Collect payment
gateway:
- Unreserved and SEBC candidates: Rs. 500/-
- Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, and PwD candidates: Rs. 200/-
Payment is mandatory for application processing.
Step 3: Written Examination
Eligible candidates will be called for a written test of 200 marks covering:
- General English (60 marks)
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs (40 marks)
- General Mathematics up to HSC standard (40 marks)
- Reasoning and Mental Ability (60 marks)
Qualifying marks are 40% for Unreserved candidates and 30% for SC/ST/SEBC and
PwD categories.
Step 4: Shortlisting for Computer Skill Test
Candidates scoring above the qualifying mark in written examination are shortlisted
(approximately 2 times the vacancy) for the computer skill test.
Step 5: Computer Skill Test
Shortlisted candidates undergo a 50-mark computer test (1 hour) covering:
- Windows operating system (file and folder operations)
- MS Word (document formatting and editing)
- MS PowerPoint (presentation creation and editing)
- MS Excel (spreadsheet operations and formulas)
- MS Access (database creation and data entry)
Minimum qualifying mark: 20 marks for all categories.
Step 6: Document Verification
Final merit list candidates are called for document verification at SSB office,
Bhubaneswar. Original certificates must be presented along with self-attested
photocopies.
Step 7: Merit List Publication
Final selection is based on aggregate marks of written test and computer skill
test. In case of tie, date of birth (candidate born earlier gets priority) is
considered.
Step 8: Counseling and Allocation
Selected candidates are allocated to posts/institutions based on merit and
preference choices submitted during application.
