Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (as on the last date of receipt of application).
Age Relaxation:
• OBC candidates : 3 years relaxation (upper age)
• SC / ST candidates : 5 years relaxation
• Physically Handicapped (PH) : 10 years relaxation
– PH belonging to SC/ST : Additional 5 years (total 15 years)
– PH belonging to OBC : Additional 3 years (total 13 years)
• Ex-Servicemen : Full period of defence service deducted from actual
age; resultant age should not exceed prescribed
maximum by more than 3 years

Educational Qualification:
1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC):
– 12th Class pass from a recognised Board
– Typing speed: 35 wpm in English OR 30 wpm in Hindi on computer
(35 wpm = 10,500 KDPH; 30 wpm = 9,000 KDPH; 5 key depressions per word)
– Typing test time allowed: 10 minutes
2. Hindi Typist:
– 12th Class pass from a recognised Board
– Typing speed: 35 wpm in English OR 30 wpm in Hindi on computer
(same parameters as above)
– Typing test time allowed: 10 minutes
3. Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver – Ordinary Grade (CMTD):
– Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognised board or university
– Must hold a valid Civil Driving Licence for light and heavy vehicles
– Must possess professional skill in driving and knowledge of motor mechanisms
– Minimum 2 years of experience in driving motor vehicles (essential)

Step 1 – Application Scrutiny:

conditions will be issued call letters for the written test.
Step 2 – Written Examination:
The written test carries 100% weightage in the final merit. The exam will be conducted
in both English and Hindi (bilingual question paper).

• For LDC / Hindi Typist Posts:
General Intelligence, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, General Awareness
• For CMTD Post:
General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English,
General Awareness, Trade/Post-related questions
Step 3 – Skill / Practical / Physical Test:
After the written test, a requisite number of shortlisted candidates (based on
merit-category ranking) will be called for a skill, practical, or physical test
wherever applicable. This stage is qualifying in nature — it does not add to the
merit score, but is mandatory to pass.
Step 4 – Document Verification:
Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates at the time of the
practical/skill/physical test. Documents verified include: caste certificate, age
proof, educational qualification, driving licence (CMTD), experience certificate,
disability certificate (PwBD), and discharge book (ESM).
Marking:
Written Test – 100% weightage
Skill/Practical Test – Qualifying only (pass/fail basis)
