The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released an important employment notice inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officer / Management Trainee under the Common Recruitment Process CRP PO/MT-XVI. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined score of the Main Examination and Interview, taken in the ratio of 80:20. Successful candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks depending on the actual vacancies reported and the reservation policy of the Government of India. šš“š² šš¶šŗš¶š (š®š š¼š» 01 ššš¹š 2026) : Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years. This means candidates should be born between 02 July 1996 and 01 July 2006, both dates inclusive.

š®šš¶š¼š» : 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers who meet the specified service conditions. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC can be combined with only one other applicable category.

Selection Process

š®šŗš¶š»š®šš¶š¼š» ā An objective and descriptive test comprising Reasoning, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and a Descriptive Paper (Essay and Comprehension), carrying 200 marks with a total duration of 160 minutes.
š¦šš²š½ 3: š£š²šæšš¼š»š®š¹š¶šš š§š²šš ā A non-qualifying self-report assessment that is mandatory for candidates who clear the Main Examination and wish to appear for the interview.
š¦šš²š½ 4: šš¼šŗšŗš¼š» šš»šš²šæšš¶š²š ā Conducted by the participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank, carrying 100 marks, with minimum qualifying marks of 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).
Step 5: Provisional Allotment ā Based on the combined score of Main Examination and Interview (80:20 weightage), candidates are allotted to one of the participating banks as per merit, preference and reservation policy.

1. Visit the official IBPS website www.ibps.in and click on the link for CRP PO/MT-XVI.
2. Click on "New Registration" and enter basic details to generate a provisional registration number and password.
3. Upload the required documents including photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration and 10th standard certificate as per the specified format and size.
4. Fill in the online application form carefully with personal, educational and category-related details.
5. Pay the applicable application fee/intimation charges through the online payment gateway.
6. Verify all entered details using the "Save and Next" option before final submission, since changes are not permitted after clicking "Complete Registration."
7. Take a printout of the completed application form and payment receipt for personal record. Do not send this printout to IBPS.
