The examination will be held tentatively in August 2026 and will be conducted in Computer Based Examination (CBE) format, exclusively in the Delhi-NCR region. This is not an open competitive examination — only regularly appointed LDCs/JSAs of the CSCS cadre of DoPT who satisfy the service length conditions are eligible to apply. The post carries Pay Level-4 under the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a salary range of ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 per month, along with all other central government service benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other applicable allowances. The following service conditions must be satisfied as on the crucial date of 01.08.2025: 1. 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝): The candidate must have completed not less than 5 years of approved and continuous service in the Lower Division Grade of the CSCS cadre as on the crucial date. 2. 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬): If the candidate was appointed to the LDC Grade through a competitive examination (including a previous LDCE), the result of that examination must have been announced at least 5 years before the crucial date, and the candidate must have rendered at least 4 years of approved continuous service in that grade. 3. 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Any period spent on military duties by an LDC may be counted towards the prescribed service length, as per the DoPT notification No. 12/3/93-CS.II dated 22.11.1995. 4. 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬: LDCs on deputation to ex-cadre posts with competent authority approval are eligible, provided they retain a lien in the LDC Grade of CSCS. 5. 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭: The candidate must have passed the Typewriting Test conducted by UPSC or SSC/Ministry of Personnel on or before the date of notification, unless formally exempted from this requirement. 6. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: A candidate who, after applying, resigns from service, is terminated, or is appointed to an ex-cadre post on transfer without retaining a lien in the LDC/JSA grade, shall not be eligible for appointment based on the examination result.
