Bank of Baroda is one of India's largest public sector banks, operating under the
Government of India. With a wide network spanning urban, semi-urban, and rural
areas across the country, the bank serves millions of customers through its branches,
digital platforms, and financial products. Bank of Baroda has consistently ranked
among the top public sector banks in India and is known for its institutional strength,
nationwide reach, and commitment to financial inclusion. The bank is regulated by
the Reserve Bank of India and falls under the purview of the Ministry of Finance.

Bank of Baroda has released an official notification inviting online applications from
Indian citizens for engagement as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A
total of 5,000 training seats are available across 35 States and Union Territories.
The engagement is for a fixed period of 12 months, during which selected candidates
will receive on-the-job training at designated Bank of Baroda branches or offices.
This is an apprenticeship program and not a regular or contractual job. Candidates
selected as apprentices will be designated as Trainees and will not hold the status
of employees of the bank. The program provides young graduates with an opportunity
to gain practical banking experience, which can be highly valuable for future careers
in the banking and financial services sector.
The selection process involves an online examination conducted by BFSI SSC,
followed by a local language proficiency test and document verification. Applications
must be submitted online through the government apprenticeship portals (NAPS or
NATS) and the BFSI SSC platform. Only one application per candidate is permitted.
